Artisans / Crafters and Vendor Forms
RailGrass is seeking Artisans and Crafters for the 2010 RailGrass, a Heritage Festival. Vendors who have been to the DKA Harvest Fare Festival, RailGrass is the new name for this 37 year old festival. Held in Downtown Kingsport.
Vendor selection will be coordinated to make a good event and a good mix of vendor types.

This is a not a Juried show. You must include pictures and a description of your Homemade Craft. Once the committee reviews your application, you will be advised whether or not you will be accepted for this festival. If you want your pictures back, please include a self addressed envelope with your application. Artists will only be allowed to display and sell art that they have personally painted or photography that they have personally taken. NO COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS WILL BE ALLOWED – NO EXCEPTIONS.
Booth Spaces will be on a first come first serve basis since this is a new show.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
NON-LIABILITY OF DOWNTOWN KINGSPORT ASSOCIATION AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT: IT IS UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED THAT ALL PROPERTY AND MERCHANDISE STORED WITHIN OR LOCATED ON THE LEASED SPACE BY VENDOR SHALL BE VENDOR=S SOLE RISK, AND THAT DOWNTOWN KINGSPORT ASSOCIATION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURIES OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR LOSS FROM THEFT, VANDALISM, FIRE, WATER, FLOOR, TORNADO, RAIN, MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE, EXPLOSION, OR ANY OTHER CAUSE WHATEVER, AND VENDOR AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS DOWNTOWN KINGSPORT ASSOCIATION FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIMS FOR DAMAGES OR LOSS TO PERSONAL PROPERTY OR SPECIAL INJURY OR DEATH, INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES AND COST, ARISING FROM VENDOR=S USE OF THE LEASED SPACE OR FROM ANY ACTIVITY, WORK OR THINGS DONE, PERMITTED OR SUFFERED BY VENDOR IN OR ABOUT THE LEASED SPACE.
ELIGIBILITY: DKA reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any Exhibitor or product to be exhibited at the event. This will not be a juried show - for Artists and Crafters doing home made product only.
FEES: All fees are to be paid in full. Until such time as payment in full is received, DKA retains the right to refuse admittance of exhibits or materials to the event. A fee of $25.00 will be charged for any check returned for insufficient funds.
Realizing that change creates some problems, please rest assured that everything is being done to make the festival better for each of our vendors. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Tammy or Mark at 423-378-5848.
Festival Hours: will be from 9am to 5pm.
Booths: Booth spaces are approximately 10' by 10' with 2' passage around each space. Exhibitors must furnish tables/chairs/display materials and weather (sun/rain) protection. Only small pets, please. During the weekend, exhibitors must park in adjacent parking lots so street spaces will be available for customers.
Set Up: Due to our agreement with the city for street closing and the safety of all personnel, no one will be allowed to set up on the street before 6pm Friday May 7th. All vehicles must be removed from the festival site by 8 a.m. Saturday. It is Mandatory that you drop your booth items and park your vehicle prior to set-up.
Check - In: Participants may sign in from 6pm to 8:30 pm. Friday, May 7th, 2009 at the DKA booth located on Broad Street in front of the P & J Antiques. Participants may also sign in Saturday at the DKA booth. All vendors MUST check in.
Vehicles will not be allowed on the festival site before 5pm. on Saturday due to safety factors.
