Saturday May 8th - Local Bus Excursions
$8.00 per person, inc. Surprise gifts, lift tickets and refreshments as well as on board discussions (Two runs at 25 persons per run)
This set of two Trips will be to several of the more interesting local rail sites in our area. The first stop will be to the newly refurbished Dungannon Railroad Station via Gate City and Ft Blackmore and follows much of the rail line as well as the Clinch River. The the tour will go to Natural Tunnel State Park for viewing of a truely Natural Tunnel used by the railroad for routing the rail Lines. The visit to Natural Tunnel will feature riding the chair lift down to the tunnel itself. Next we will visit the Duffield Depot and Museum operated by Kenny Fannon and includes the great stories and Histories only Kenny can tell and last the Excursion will visit the Copper Creek Viaduct one of the tallest railroad trustles in the region.
